The Post 435 Gun Club is a chartered organization of the Richfield American Legion Post 435, located at 6501 Portland Ave. S. The Club was founded in 1961 to provide the many sportsmen and their families that belong to American Legion Post 435 a place to practice their shooting hobbies, picnic and get ready for the many hunting seasons in Minnesota and the surrounding states. Our range and recreation area is just a short drive from the south metro loop, located near Webster, MN five minutes drive south of the Elko / New Market exit on Interstate Highway 35. Our facilities are open year round to club members and their guests.

Are members of Post 435 of the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, or American Legion Auxiliary. Check the Club Website below for membership application and additional information.

Are looking for a safe place for themselves and their families to enjoy the shooting sports.

Prove themselves to be safe sportsmen and safe firearms users.

Are willing to volunteer 4 hours of work for the betterment of the Gun Club.
Our Facilities
Our members enjoy the shooting sports on one of several ranges available, including:
2 Regulation trap fields.
1 Regulation skeet field.
25-Yard outdoor handgun and small bore rifle range.
50 and 100-Yard rifle ranges.
200-Yard rifle range with regulation pits for competitive events.
Picnic grounds and pavilion shelter.
RV Campground with power & water included.
Special Events
Our Club is open virtually every day of the year, 7 days a week. Our Club Calendar and Special Events Calendar list the many special events we do throughout the year for our members. These include fun shooting events like:

Organized trap and skeet, Wednesday & Thursday evenings, April/May - Oct..

Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) practice and matches, Tuesdays 5 - 9 pm May - Mid Sept.

Junior CMP small bore & air rifle program.

State Firearms Safety Training class in spring and fall.

Annual trap & skeet fun shoots and picnics.

Annual CMP rifle shooting clinic in June.

Gun Club meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Richfield Legion Hall.
Annual dues and usage fees
Our Club boasts one of the most affordable Membership plans around. Annual Dues per family membership are listed on the Gun Club application. Trap and Skeet is $5.00 per round ($8.00 for guests). We offer open trap and skeet shooting, meaning there are no leagues.
